Meditation is single-minded focus. Focus on anything. Anything that brings us peace and frees us from the bonds that tie us. We can extend this freedom to the body, bringing it into balance with the mind, and freeing ourselves from illness.​

When we meditate we enter a state of inner quiet that refreshes the mind and restores balance to the nervous system. Since the mind and body are connected, the body is naturally balanced as the mind calms during meditation. While meditating, our heart rate slows down, our breath slows down, our body reduces the production of stress hormones such as cortisol and adrenaline, we increase the production of serotonin, dopamine, oxytocin, and endorphins – all of which cause us to feel good, and we begin healing. Naturally.
